Artemisia Panou, MD, PhD

Dr. Artemisia Panou graduated from Medical School (MD) in 2003 (104/110) and specialized in orthopedics and traumatology in 2008 (70/70 cum laude) at the University of Pavia (Italy). On January 2016 she obtained her PhD at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health, University of Milan (Italy) with a thesis titled “The pediatric flat foot: pre and post-surgical correction 3D kinematic data” (tutor Prof. C. Sforza). From 2010, she has been working as a senior consultant at the pediatrics orthopedics and neuro orthopedics Unit at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano (Milan-Italy). Her main interest regards all developmental pathologies that affect children, such as flat feet, hip dysplasia, clubfoot, scoliosis, Perthes, epiphysiolisis valgus and varus knee, etc. She is particularly interested in the treatment of children and adults with neurological problems since birth (cerebral palsy, spina bifida etc) or after incidents and/or cerebrovascular diseases (Stroke and Ictus).
